Olympus 7-14mm F2.8 ED PRO

There’s a lot of very sophisticated technology tucked inside the Olympus 7-14mm F2.8 ED PRO. 14 individual lens elemetns in 11 groups featuring 3 Super ED lenses, 1 ED lens and 2 EDA lenses work in complete harmony to reduce chromatic aberration for pinpoint-sharp starscapes. The lens also features OM’s ZERO coating, practically eliminating flare and ghosting in backlit scenes.

For All Weathers

Weatherproof seals in 11 separate locations on the lens body make the M.Zuiko 7-14mm PRO lens virtually impervious to dust and moisture. Capture stunning images of nature in the raw without having to worry about ocean spray, waterfalls or torrential downpours.

Quick & Quiet

Videographers, street-shooters and those shooting skittish subjects close-up will appreciate the lens’ inclusion of OM’s MSC (Movie-Still Compatible) mechanism, which provides swift, nearly silent autofocus operation. Capture candid shots without startling your subjects, and enjoy the full spectrum of sound in filmed scenes with no distracting noises from the lens when focussing.

Complete Control

For full control, the lens can be adjusted on the fly for maximum shooting satisfaction – it’s as easy as pushing a button! Use the L-Fn button to activate any of 27 functions which can be assigned. The lens also features Manual Focus Clutch mechanism, which enables a user to switch instantly between auto and manual focus, simply by pulling the focus ring towards them.

Christopher ★★★★★

The Super ED glass elements really cut down on chromatic aberration; even shooting into the sun the fringing is almost nonexistent. I’ve been using it for interior architecture shots and the constant F2.8 aperture is a lifesaver in dim light.

Richard ★★★★★

The distortion control is unreal for a lens this wide, and those Super ED elements must be doing the heavy lifting because the edges stay tack sharp at f/2.8. It’s a chunky filterless beast, but I haven’t missed a single shot since it went on my camera.

Kevin ★★★★☆

The weather sealing on this lens gave me real peace of mind during a rainy shoot along the coast, and the ultra-wide 7-14mm range captured the cliffs beautifully. The only reason it's not five stars is the price, which stings a bit even for the build quality.
