Finally managed to get that silky water motion on a sunny afternoon, and the filter held the exposure steady throughout the whole shot. The twist ring adjustment feels precise enough to dial in exactly the darkness you need.

Took this out for waterfall shots and the slow shutter blur came out silky smooth, exactly what I wanted from the variable ND range. The ring turns with just the right amount of resistance, no accidental shifts mid-shot.

The variable ND works perfectly for getting that smooth waterfall shot without overexposing. Only slight color cast when dialed past the halfway mark, but still very usable for the price.
