I was worried it might soften the image too much, but the 1/2 strength gives just the right cinematic glow to highlights without killing sharpness. For night street photography, the way it tames harsh neon signs is exactly what I needed.

The 1/2 black mist effect is subtle enough for everyday portraits but still softens highlights nicely, and the waterproof coating has held up through a few damp shoots without smudging. It threads on smoothly and doesn't add any noticeable color cast, which is exactly what I wanted.

The coating on this filter handles reflections beautifully, and the 1/2 strength softens highlights just enough without washing out the whole frame. I’ve left it on my lens for most shoots now—water and fingerprints wipe right off, which is a bonus I didn’t expect.
