Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG II Art Lens For Sony E

The Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG II Art Lens For Sony E  has been integrating the latest technology to offer both improved optical performance and enhanced portability, thanks to a significant 30% size reduction. The perfect balance of optical performance, brightness, compact size, and ease of use allows the Sigma 35mm II lens to offer the ultimate professional-level results. The Sigma 35mm DG II | Art Lens is available as an L-Mount or as an E-Mount system.

Perfect For Hybrid Shooters

This compact hybrid lens offers the best combination for both photographers and videographers, delivering unparalleled rendering and high-resolution clarity, allowing you to capture incredible images. The minimised focus breathing also helps to ensure outstanding results when shooting video.

Lens Construction

Improved optical design featuring 17 elements in 13 groups, including SLD glass and four glass-moulded double-sided aspherical elements, enabling extreme suppression of chromatic aberration and sagittal coma flare.

Beautiful Bokeh

Thanks to the special attention paid to the various optical aberrations that affect image quality, the lens delivers brilliant sharpness of the in-focus plane and beautiful bokeh that suppresses colour bleeding and double line bokeh.

Minimised Focus Breathing

The lens focus group arrangement and aspherical shape have been optimised to significantly suppress focus breathing. Any changes in the field of view are effectively suppressed when the focusing distance is changed.

Designed to Minimise Flare & Ghosting

High backlight resistance enables clear and sharp images under any lighting conditions, while lens flare and ghosting have been addressed under all conditions of incident light, based on the most advanced simulation.

Floating Focus System

The size reduction has been achieved by introducing a floating focus system into the lens construction. This allows the lens groups to move independently of each other, enhancing optical performance while reducing the weight of each lens group.

Dual HLA Autofocusing System

The Sigm 35mm offers fast and quiet autofocusing with its dual HLA (High-responce Linear Actuator) system, which drives each of the two focus groups by an individual linear motor. The focus unit is able to remain compact thanks to the use of multiple magnets in each motor without sacrificing high thrust. This ultimately lets the Sigma 35mm offer fast, reliable and quiet autofocusing.

Shooting Assist Functions

The lens has been designed with multiple shooting assist functions, including an AFL button with can be assigned a variety of functions and an aperture ring that can be locked with a desiccated lock switch. The aperture ring can be changed from clicked to declicked with the dedicated click switch. Perfect for those moments when you want to switch from incremental adjustments to smoother control.

Dust & Splash Resistant Structure

Shoot without concerns, even in harsh outdoor environments, with a dust and splash resistant structure along with a water and oil repellent coating on the front element of the lens.

Dedicated Petal-Type Hood

Reduce the chance of unwanted flare with the dedicated petal-type hood. This dedicated hood helps to shield the front element from stray light and can be securely attached to the lens with a locking mechanism.

Mia K. ★★★★★

I'm still surprised by how well this lens handles chromatic aberration—it's practically gone in my night shots. The f/1.2 aperture gives such a creamy background that it changes how I compose portraits.

Christopher E. ★★★★★

First time I've been genuinely excited about a lens in years. The f/1.2 bokeh is creamy, and the fact they made it more portable without sacrificing the sharpness I'd expect is a huge win. It's become my default for low-light shots.

Matthew B. ★★★★★

I love how sharp the autofocus is even in low light, and the bokeh from that F1.2 aperture is just dreamy. This lens weighs a bit more than my old one, but the image quality more than makes up for it.
