Nikon Z 40mm f/2 SE Lens
The Nikon Z 40mm f/2 SE Lens is a compact and lightweight prime lens designed for Nikon Z cameras such as the Z fc. The lens offers superb image quality for portraiture as well as close-up photography thanks to a minimum focus distance of just 0.29m.
Perfect for Portraits
The 40mm focal length makes this a perfect lens for portrait photography by allowing you to emphasise your primary subject. This is further enhanced by the constant f2 aperture and 9-blade iris diaphragm that lets you create beautiful round-shaped bokeh.
The lens offers a 57 ̊angle of view (38 ̊ 50 Nikon DX format), making it a great choice for everyday snapshots and provides a 60 mm focal length when mounted on an APS-C size/DX-format camera.
Get Close Up To Your Subject
The Nikon Z 40mm f/2 SE Lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 0.29m allowing you to get closer to your subject. This makes it perfect for detailed portraits as well as macro photography such as food, flowers or insects.
Classic Look
The Nikon Z 40mm f/2 SE Lens boasts the classic design of older NIKKOR lenses, released around the same time as the Nikon FM2 film camera. This is the camera that inspired the recent Z fc’s retro design.
Not Just For Photography
The lens features an STM (stepping motor) for high-speed, accurate and quiet Auto Focusing. This makes the lens a fantastic option for shooting video, especially in environments that require discretion such as weddings, christenings and presentations.
Dust & Drip Resistant
The Nikon Z 40mm f/2 SE Lens features a dust and drip-resistant design allowing you to use it in less-than-desirable weather conditions.
Assignable Functions
You can assign functions such as aperture and exposure compensation to the control ring, allowing you a faster and more efficient workflow.
Design & Build
The Nikon Z 40mm f/2 SE Lens weighs just 170g and measures only 45.5mm in length making it incredibly compact and lightweight. The lens has been constructed from 6 elements in 4 groups, including 2 aspherical lens elements, and has a 9-blade diaphragm and a 52mm filter diameter.
