Nikon Z 135mm F1.8 S Plena lens

The Nikon Z 135mm F1.8 S Plena lens is the latest in Nikon’s S-Line series of lenses. Comprised of 16 elements in 14 groups (including 4 ED glass elements, 1 aspherical lens element, 1 SR lens element, and elements with Meso Amorphous Coat and ARNEO Coat) and 11 rounded aperture blades, the lens offers flawless bokeh and all-round optical perfection. Perfect for portraits, fashion, nature and more!

Built For Bokeh

The NIKKOR Z 135MM f/1.8 S PLENA lens delivers flawless bokeh even in the furthest corners of the frame with no discernible colour fringing or vignetting. The lens features an 11-rounded aperture blade design and consists of 16 elements in 14 groups (including 4 ED glass elements, 1 aspherical lens element, 1 SR lens element, and elements with Meso Amorphous Coat and ARNEO Coat) to minimise diffraction and counter sagittal coma and spherical aberrations. Bokeh is further enhanced by the compression that comes along with the 135mm focal length for truly impressive subject separation.

Pin-Sharp Images

The Z 135mm f/1.8 S PLENA produces pin-sharp images regardless of whether you are shooting at f/1.8 or stopped down. You can be assured of outstanding colour and contrast, even around high-contrast edges. The lens features Nikon’s Meso Amorphous Coat and ARNEO Coat to ensure that glare and lens flare are eliminated as much as possible.

Fast, Precise Autofocus

The Z 135mm f/1.8 S PLENA delivers fast and precise autofocus at any focusing distance, even at the widest aperture and has a minimum focus distance of just 0.82 m. The lens only weighs 995g, making it easy to control when using hand-held as well as on a tripod.

S-Line Quality

Part of the S-Line series, this lens is built to the highest quality Nikon has to offer. The lens is perfectly balanced, built from tough yet lightweight metal, and engraved with the Plena name. There is also extensive sealing around the joints and buttons, as well as a rubber gasket on the lens mount to help keep dust, dirt, and moisture at bay.

Customer Reviews (4.8 / 5 · 5 reviews)

Benjamin ★★★★★

The bokeh from those 4 ED glass elements is just unreal—creamy and smooth in a way I've never seen at this focal length. Autofocus snaps instantly even in low light, which made shooting a dimly lit portrait session effortless.

Alexander ★★★★★

The out-of-focus highlights are so smooth and round that portraits look like they were painted, and the 4 ED glass elements really keep the edges sharp even wide open. I’ve shot with other 135s before, but this one makes the background melt away in a way that feels almost unfair.

Chloe ★★★★★

The bokeh from those 4 ED glass elements is just unreal—smooth and creamy even wide open at f1.8. Focus snaps to the eye instantly and stays locked, which is a lifesaver for candid shots. I’ve already gotten my money’s worth this first week.
